Hi amazing mum-to-be,

First thing’s first – I want to say a big congratulations on your pregnancy! This is such a special moment for you, and I’m sure you are going through a rollercoaster ride of emotions at the moment.

It’s fantastic to see you are considering the help of a Doula for the duration of your pregnancy journey.

Because, of course, your pregnancy journey is a long one, and involves so much more than the birthing theatre or room.

That’s what Doulas like me are here for – to be with you along every step of the way to make sure your pregnancy journey is a comfortable, well-informed, and supported one. From beginning to beyond.

About Me

I believe every woman should be listened to, acknowledged and empowered to have a positive experience, whatever her choices may be.

For many years, I worked in customer service positions, building rapport with clients on a daily basis. I’m a very caring person, and have key skills to empathise and listen well to others. I’ve been lucky enough to witness babies very special to me being born and have been a Birth & Postnatal Doula to my sister, extended family and friends.

So, that’s why I became a Doula – to use my nurturing disposition and help empower women to find their inner strength and be amazing in their pregnancy and beyond. As a Doula, I work to support very diverse mummies and families – in a whole range of situations and circumstances – to support their choices and make their birthing experience the best it can be.

These have all been roles and experiences I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and feel so incredibly lucky to be the person people feel they can call on at such a special time in their lives. And I would love to be a part of your journey, to help you gain confidence and feel in control.

Your Journey With Me

Now, of course, it’s time to help you and baby experience this amazing journey together.

Exciting. Scary. Liberating. Stressful.

For many mummies, pregnancy is all of these things and so much more.

Suddenly, you’re welcoming a new little human into your life. Whilst this is such an amazing part of life, it’s a huge transition – and can also make mummies feel incredibly anxious.

Parenthood naturally makes women feel concerned about their own competency.

And throw into the mix conflicting advice of experienced grandmothers (who always mean well), social media, and the parenting of friends who ‘seem to have it all together’, mummies are left feeling alone, stressed, and incapable.

All because they care and want to be the best parent they can!

Working With You

The role of the Doula isn’t just for birth, however.

In fact, I’ve always been the go-to friend who helps with the practical day-to-day tasks during the postnatal period. I’ve previously helped complete school runs for other children in the family, taking the dog for a walk, light housework duties, pampering the mother and have simply just sat down with the mother to be a listening ear.

I am proud to give women the proper tools and knowledge for a safe, positive and empowering birth of their choice, providing support both physically and emotionally.

Pregnancy is not my place to give advice or tell mummy what to do.

Instead, I will provide her with information so she can make the correct choices for herself and her family.

As a birth and postnatal Doula, my priorities to you are:

  • Working to empower and strengthen you during your birth experience(s)
  • Keeping you comfortable at all times.
  • Offering guidance and practical support beyond pregnancy and into motherhood
  • Listening to you and keeping you safe at all times.
  • Presenting you with balanced research and information to help you make informed decisions.
  • Keeping partner involved as much as they would like to.
  • Completed a certified Doula UK course with BirthBliss Academy.
  • A member of both BirthBliss Academy and Doula UK, the UK’s leading Doula organisation.
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • DBS certified
  • All London & Greater London areas, Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
  • If you do not see your county – please enquire. I’m more than happy to accommodate approximately 1 hours travel from Abbots Langley.

Now you know about me, I look forward to getting to know you and provide the care you’re looking for.

What mums have to say about Beloved Bundles

There are not enough words to express the thanks and gratitude for all of your help. Tara was always there to assist both physically and emotionally during our time of need. Having Tara present helped us to restore confidence in our abilities as parents as our family grew with the birth of our second child.
Kerri & Anthony, Hertfordshire
Tara was present for both of my daughter’s births. – One in hospital and one home birth. She helped comfort me so I could believe in my own body’s strengths and abilities to birth my children. She was friendly, reliable and reassuring at all times. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
